Erin Bell
As a life-long learner, educator, and former classroom teacher, Erin has a passion for teaching and supporting adolescents as they discover more about themselves and their boundless potential. She has been working with middle and high school students for over a decade and firmly believes that with the right support, all students can find success inside the classroom and beyond.
After graduating from Whitman College with a BA in Sociology, Erin earned her M.E.d. from the University of Notre Dame and taught middle and high school English and Social Studies in New Orleans, San Francisco, and Sacramento. She holds all of her students to high expectations and loves to get competitive over a game of Bananagrams. Erin loves that she gets to continue her work as an educator and mentor through Discovery Unlimited.
When not working with students, Erin spends much of her free time outside hiking, camping, and skiing. Erin combined her love for the outdoors and EF skills last summer when she planned and executed a 16-day thru hike across the High Sierra via the John Muir Trail. And if you’re ever in need of a book recommendation, she’d be more than happy to point you in the right direction!
